This connects a Seatalk1 bus to Seatalk NG/NMEA-2000 busses. Seatalk NG is NMEA 2000 with a different connector, so NG <> 2000 conversion is just an inexpensive cable adapter. Seatalk 1 is the “original” Seatalk, used by Raymarine until about 10 years ago.
This is in good working order. Raymarine recently noted that it does not work reliably with the earliest Seatalk 1 versions, which is the case with our autopilot. We replaced it with a converter from Yacht Devices which is compatible and configurable.
